FAQ

Account

How do I sign in without a password?

tabletop has no password. Click Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub. Or type your email and click Send code: tabletop sends a 6-digit code to your email. The code works for 10 minutes. See Make your account.

Can I be in more than one org?

Yes. Click your avatar to switch between your orgs. See Teams, orgs and roles.

Tokens and plans

What is a token?

A token is the unit that pays for a node run in tabletop. Each node that uses an AI service costs tokens. Next to Run, tabletop shows the most tokens that a run can use. See Tokens and plans.

What happens when my org has no tokens?

tabletop does not start the run. It shows “This needs a larger plan or more tokens” with a See plans button. Buy a token pack, change the plan, or use your own API keys.

Do tokens expire?

Pack tokens never expire. The tokens of the plan come each month. tabletop uses the plan tokens first. See Plans and limits.

What happens to my work if I change to a smaller plan?

tabletop deletes nothing. If your org has more workflows than the new plan allows, some workflows become read-only.

Your own API keys

Does a node cost tokens when it uses my own key?

No. A node that pays with your key costs 0 tokens in tabletop. The service, such as OpenAI or Tripo, bills your account. See Your own API keys (BYOK).

Which services take my own key?

OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Leonardo, Runware and Tripo.

Results

Where do my results go?

Each result goes to the Library of your org. Click Library in the header. See The library and versions.

Do I lose a result when I run a node again?

No. Each run adds a new version. You can go back to an earlier one. See Bring back an earlier version of a result.

Do I lose the results when I delete a node?

No. The results stay in the library. Their tiles show “Node deleted”.

Do I have to save my workflow?

No. tabletop saves each change at once.

Agents

Can an agent run a node?

Yes. Some nodes can use an agent as a provider: Agent: Claude or Agent: OpenAI. The agent runs in tabletop. It pays with tokens, or with the Anthropic or OpenAI key of your org. See Providers.

Can an AI agent use tabletop?

Yes. Claude Code, Codex and other agents can build and run workflows through MCP. See Connect Claude Code or Codex.
