Your own API keys (BYOK)

BYOK means “bring your own key”. If your org has an account with an AI service, such as OpenAI or Tripo, you can add its API key to tabletop. A node that uses your key costs no tokens. The service bills your account.

OpenAIGenerate Image, Generate Text, and each node with the Agent: OpenAI provider

An org can have more than one key for a service. For example, use one key for each project.

After you save a key, tabletop shows only its label and its last 4 characters, such as “••••1234”. The list also shows who Added by and when the key was Last used.

Pay with a key on a node

  1. Click the node. The inspector opens.
  2. In Params, open Pay with. It shows below Provider.
  3. Pick your key, such as “Studio Tripo ••••1234”.
