Use your own API keys
In this guide, you add the API key of your own Tripo account to your org. Then the Generate Model node of the Model generation example pays with your key. The node costs 0 tokens. Tripo bills your account.
The same steps work for OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Leonardo and Runware. See which nodes take a key in Your own API keys (BYOK).
1. Get a key from the service
- Sign in to your account at the website of the service, such as Tripo.
- Make an API key there.
- Copy the key.
Each service has its own steps. Read the help of the service.
For a Runware key:
- Sign in to the Runware dashboard at my.runware.ai .
- Open API Keys.
- Click Create Key.
- Copy the key.
2. Add the key to your org
You must be an Owner or an Admin of the org.
- Click your avatar, then Organization settings.
- Open Provider keys.
- In the Tripo section, click Add key.
- Type a Label, such as “Studio Tripo”.
- Paste the key in API key.
- Click Save.
The Tripo section of Provider keys with the Label Studio Tripo and the API key guides/use-your-own-api-keys-add
tabletop shows the label and the last 4 characters of the key. It does not show the full key again.
3. Pick the key on a node
- Open a workflow with a Tripo node. For example, open the menu under the workflow name and click New from example: Model generation.
- Click the Generate Model node.
- In Params, open Pay with.
- Pick “Studio Tripo ••••1234”.

Do the same on each node that must use the key. Each node keeps its own choice. The Generate Image nodes of the example still use tokens. To pay for them with a key, add an OpenAI, Gemini or Leonardo key. Then pick it on each Generate Image node.
Each member who can edit the workflow can pick the key on a node.
4. Run
Select the nodes to run, then click Run. Generate Model uses your key and costs 0 tokens. The other nodes use tokens as before.
If the run fails
