Your first workflow
In this page, you open a template and run it. A template is a ready workflow that tabletop gives you. The Model generation template makes a 3D model of a treasure chest from four concept images.
The run costs tokens. A new account has 100 tokens. Next to the Run button, tabletop shows the most tokens that the run can use (“up to” a number of tokens).
Open the template
- Click Workflows in the header. The Workflows page opens.
The Workflows page with the Templates row getting-started/first-workflow-templates - In Templates, click Model generation. tabletop copies it into your org and opens it on the canvas.
The copy has the results of the template, so you can see each result before you run a node.
note
On the Free plan, an org can have 2 workflows. If tabletop shows “The plan of this org allows 2 workflows”, move a workflow to the trash first. A workflow in the trash does not count.
Look at the nodes
The template has these nodes, from left to right:
| Nodes | What they do |
|---|---|
| 4 Plain Text nodes | Hold the prompts: front, left, back and right views of the chest. |
| 4 Generate Image nodes | Make the four views. The front view is the reference for the other three, so they show the same chest. |
| Generate Model | Makes one 3D model from the four views. |
| Preview | Shows the model large. You can turn it with the mouse. |
getting-started/first-workflow-nodesTo change the chest, click a Plain Text node and change its text. For example, change “treasure chest” to “wooden barrel” in all four prompts.
Run it
- Press
⌘Aon Mac orCtrl+Aon Windows or Linux. This selects all nodes. A run starts only the selected nodes. - Click Run at the top of the canvas.
The Run button with the token estimate next to it getting-started/first-workflow-run - Look at the nodes. Each node shows its state, such as Queued, Running and Done.
- Wait until the Preview node shows the model. A 3D model can take some minutes.

You do not have to save. tabletop saves each change at once. Each result goes to your library.
If a node fails
The node shows the error and a Retry button. See Troubleshooting.
